The Vita graciously donates amazing, nutritious lunches to our free youth summer program every year, helping us feed an average of twenty children per day.
Meyer Memorial Trust
Meyer Memorial Trust awarded us $20,400 in February 2009 to support CH:AMP, an adult life skills mentoring program for individuals living in affordable housing. This program provides housekeeping and hygiene support for residents who are mentally ill, aging, physically disabled, or recently transitioned off of the streets.
NIKE
As part of Governor Kulongowski’s challenge to Portland businesses to step up and take a larger role in helping low-income kids while school is out and school lunches are not available, NIKE donated $1000 to our summer youth program in 2008.
Museum Tour
Every year Museum Tour donates an awesome new educational toy for every single girl and boy in our programs.
The Brightwood Guest House
These folks generously donated a night at their bed and breakfast for one of our amazing volunteers and a guest. What a beautiful setting to relax and rejuvenate after working so hard to make a difference!
The Gypsy Rose Salon & Spa
Tami, owner of the Gypsy Rose, is a generous Giving Tree contributor: every year she volunteers to do the ‘do of the winner of our Iron Bartender competition.

These great folks have pledged to give our volunteers soothing aromatherapy foot soaks during the holiday season as a token of their deep appreciation for the work we do. Amazing!
Mississippi Pizza and Pizza A Go Go
Every year, Mississippi Pizza and Pizza A Go Go help us start our summer youth program out right by hooking us up with a pizza feast.
Lion and the Rose Victorian Bed & Breakfast
These folks generously donated a night at their bed and breakfast for one of our amazing volunteers and a guest. This is a gorgeously appointed bed and breakfast located right here in Portland; the perfect quick getaway for a busy volunteer!
McMenamin’s
McMenamin’s offers so many and varied options for recreation that it’s hard to choose, but that’s just what some lucky Iron Bartender prize-winner will have to do with the gift certificate McMenamin’s donated to us.
The ReBuilding Center
The ReBuilding Center designs workshops specifically with our client’s needs in mind. Participants learn new confidence and skills during the workshops, and they get to take home something creative and useful that they’ve made with their own hands. It’s a fabulously empowering experience.
Zenger Farm
The great folks at Zenger Farm taught the kids during our summer program all about sustainable food practices, and then they let them dig in the dirt and play with the chickens. Super fun times for kids who don’t usually get the chance to have a day on a farm.
The Oregon Zoo
The Oregon Zoo has been generous in their contributions to us, from sending a team to one of our sites to teach the kids there all about invertebrates, to donating 5o passes to us to gift to our clients in the summer of 2009. The cost of admission to the zoo is out of reach for the majority of our clients, so this was a great treat for everyone.
AG Massage
Who needs a massage? Hardworking volunteers and Iron Bartender champs, that’s who! Thanks AG Massage!
